Through various code-share partnerships, passengers departing from Australia who are travelling on one ticket may connect onto Air France flights in select Asian cities.    


Long-haul flights: Seat pitch on longer flights is between 32-34 inches with a seat width between 17-19 inches. All aircraft are equipped with is-seat video screens for on-demand entertainment. The state-of-the-art entertainment system features a mix of movies, music, children’s entertainment options and games.

Flights start with a complementary beverage service followed by a meal of your choice including dessert, tea or coffee. On select Air France flights, a unique A-la-carte menu is offered which allows you to upgrade your meal for a small fee. Meal upgrades must be ordered 24 hours prior to flight time. Four different meal options are available, including traditional French, Italian, seafood or a selection from the prestigious Maison LENÔTRE. Each selection features their own accompaniments such as dessert, cheese, fruit and more.

Within France/Europe: Two types of fares are offered on domestic and intra Europe flights - Mini Price and Classic Price. Mini Price fares include one cabin bag only up to 12kg. Fees apply for checked baggage, and no frequent flyer points can be accrued. For Classic price tickets, one cabin bag, one checked bag and the accrual of frequent flyer points are allowed. Seat selection is also offered.  

Meals or snacks within France or Europe are included in all tickets and vary depending on the length of the flight. Entertainment is not offered onboard narrow body aircraft.

Premium Economy

Long-haul flights: This dedicated cabin bridges the gap between traditional economy and business class and is available on all long-haul aircraft except the 747. Features include a footrest, personal storage, larger tables and superior leg room. Seat pitch is a generous 38 inches while seat width comes in at 19 inches. All seats include lap top power charges, on-demand TV and video and AC power. 

A full meal and beverage service is included with all flights. Flights of longer duration include a hot and cold mini buffet. All meals are designed by Michel Nugues, member of the “Toques du Ciel” airline cuisine group.

Business Class

Long-haul flights: The business class cabin on the Air France long-haul fleet is designed for maximum comfort. Each seat is surrounded by a unique privacy shell and features an angled lie-flat bed of 2m (6.5 feet). Seat pitch is between 55-79 inches depending on the aircraft type while seat width ranges between 21-24 inches. On-demand TV is also available with over 500 hours of entertainment options to enjoy. Each seat includes AC power and lap top charge stations for continued in-flight use of personal electronic devices.

Meals are designed by Michelin-starred chefs such as Régis Marcon, Michel Roth, Joël Robuchon and Guy Martin. Meals can be ordered from the extensive a-la-carte menu and fine wines, champagne and liquors are available throughout the flight.

Within France/Europe: Located at the front of the cabin, business class seats provide extra legroom while the enhanced service includes a meal or snack with wines, liquors and coffee. The middle seat of the row folds down when unoccupied to offer more personal space for work or rest.

La Premiere Class

La Premiere class is the ultimate in service and style. You will be picked up by a private limousine and checked-in at a private lounge area before moving to the dedicated first class lounge. Within the lounge you can order full meals, enjoy large work spaces or receive a treatment at the Biologique Recherche Spa.

Suites on-board the aircraft are private spaces filled with luxury and elegance. Personal storage space is ample with hidden compartments and nooks for electronic devices, glasses, drinks and more. An ottoman seat is available in each suite for a guest to use when working or dining together. Each seat converts into a fully lie-flat bed that is 2 metres long (6.5 feet). Enjoy the total comfort of the bed with an additional futon mattress, large pillow and a fluffy duvet by Sofitel My Bed. Snuggle in for a bit of rest or enjoy your 24 inch TV screen for hours of undemand entertainment.

A-la-carte meal selections are available up to 24 hours prior to departure time and an extensive wine list is available. Elegant table settings are designed by Jean-Marie Massaud, including a Bernardaud porcelain plate and beveled Christofle glasses and flatware.

Carry-on Baggage

Carry-on baggage limits may depend on the routing, class of travel and frequent flyer status of a guest, but general rules provide for one carry-on bag in economy and premium economy cabins and two bags for business and first class passengers. Weight limits and dimensions apply as per noted in the chart below.

Economy: One bag up to 23kg can be checked free of charge (unless travelling on a Mini Price fare within France or Europe). Flying Blue silver, gold and platinum members can check an additional bag up to 23kg.

Premium Economy: Two bags up to 23kg per bag are allowed for check-in. Flying Blue silver, gold and platinum members can check an additional bag up to 23kg.

Business Class: Two bags up to 32kg per bag are allowed for check-in. Flying Blue silver, gold and platinum members can check an additional bag up to 32kg.

La Premiere: Three bags up to 32kg per bag are allowed for check-in. Flying Blue silver, gold and platinum members can check an additional bag up to 32kg.

Sporting Equipment

Sports equipment will be considered a part of a passenger’s free allowance. Excess baggage fees may apply for additional bags. Sports equipment includes golf bags, skis, diving equipment, fishing equipment, bikes, scooters, surf board, body boards and wind surfing boards. Pieces may not exceed 23kg and must be properly packaged.

Bulky Items

Infant Baggage

Infants are allowed one piece of checked luggage not exceeding 115cm (45 inches) in size.

One small carry-on item is permitted. Don't forget to take infant food and fomula in your carry on including change of clothes and nappies.

Oversized or Musical Equipment

Musical instruments and oversized items must be checked in and will attract a fee payable at the airport. Check with your consultant if travelling with any personal mobility devices, sports, musical or oversized bags.  



Web Check

Online check-in begins 30 hours prior to your scheduled departure time. Once complete, passengers simply print off the boarding pass or have it emailed or sent by SMS.  Once you arrive at the airport simply drop off your bags and make your way through security.

Airport Check-in

Most airports offer a self-serve kiosk option however counter check-in is always available. Kiosk check is available on your day of departure and similar to online check-in where you simply select your seat, print your boarding passes and drop your bags off at the counter.

Premium economy and business class passengers have use of a dedicated check-in area at all airports. These express counters are also available to Flying Blue, Silver, Gold and Platinum members travelling in any class.

La Premiere passengers have a dedicated check-in lounge area separate from the main terminal at Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport. This exclusive facility offers personal staff, lounge access and a private car to drive you to the aircraft.

Depending on the destination, passengers travelling in other classes may have the opportunity to purchase a one-time lounge entrance.

La Premiere passengers have a dedicated lounge available at Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport.


Flying Blue

The Air France frequent flyer program is called Flying Blue. Members can earn miles for all Air France flights (based on fare purchased) and with select airline partners including KLM and SkyTeam member airlines. Miles can be earned or redeemed on select airline, hotel, car rental and shopping partners.

Flying Blue has four tiers of memberships. Ivory, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Each level has a host of benefits including bonus miles, upgrades, access to redemption seats, priority check-in, extra baggage and discounts on economy extra leg room seats.

Air France is part of the SkyTeam Alliance which includes members such as Delta, Korean, Vietnam, KLM, Alitalia and more.
