Seeing the Giant pyramids for the first time is truly a moment you will never forget. As you stand before them in awe, you will be wondering how the ancient Egyptians built these ginormous structures!

Cairo has been the Islamic world’s greatest city since the Mongols sacked Baghdad in 1258. This makes for a history enriched vacation- definitely. The Great Pyramids of Giza are an astounding thing to see with your own eyes, each brick weighing two tonnes, with each pyramid housing roughly two million bricks. It really puts in perspective the feat that the ancient Egyptians achieved! You do not only get to see the outside of the pyramids, you get to enter one of the tombs and see the hieroglyphics that has remained untouched for thousands of years- its truly an amazing experience!

When most people go to Cairo, they tend to only look at the historic touristy places. To fully grasp the feel of Egypt, spend a couple of days in Cairo and wander around the city. Explore the local markets, and talk to the locals for a good bargain. Like every country, it has its fair share of friendly and not so friendly people, although in Egypt the majority of people are friendly and chatty towards tourists. It is one of the few places in the world where I have

instantly felt welcomed by the local people!Sinai was a destination at which I seen a lot of tourists, at both the attractions and resorts. Sinai harbours most of Egypt’s wildlife and forestry- about 66%.  There are tours that take you around the Sinai desert to see all the historic landmarks such as the Exodas. You can reach most of the sites by either camel safari or jeeps. Riding a Camel is a unique experience to say the least!

Before I ended my trip, I made sure to spend a few nights at a resort by the Red Sea. I chose to stay at Sheikh Ali Dahab Resort. While in Dahab you will meet a lot of Russian tourists taking a break from the cold to soak up the sun. You will also have plenty of time to relax on the beach, swim, and go snorkelling! Dehab is one of the most extravagant diving/snorkelling experiences I have ever had!

Overall, my trip to Egypt was jam packed full of activities as I wanted to see everything in Cairo, Sinai, and relax by the Red Sea. It was by far one the one of the best experiances i've ever had!
