Working Holidays: Volunteering

Discover the rewards of protecting endangered animals, conservation or improving the quality of life for people in a developing country, through one of our volunteer programs. Volunteering provides a special opportunity to enrich both your life and the lives of the people and/or animals affected.

1) Volunteer in Thailand

This is a wonderful opportunity to work with wild animals at an animal sanctuary. Many of these animals have been exploited for the tourism industry or have been rescued from the illegal pet trade. Before arriving at the sanctuary, most animals suffered from abuse, malnutrition, neglect and improper care. As a result, many of the animals have permanent disabilities and therefore cannot be returned to the wild. The centre's mission is to give these animals the best quality of life possible in captivity. You can go sightseeing or relax on the beaches of the nearby resorts of Cha-am or Hua Hin on your days off. Volunteer in Thailand >>> Read more about Volunteering in Thailand....

2) Volunteer in Vietnam

Teach English to children in orphanages and to members of the wider community. Also help care for and play with the children. Join a government-run program around Da Nang then head off to explore Vietnam. Volunteer in Vietnam >>> Find out more about Volunteering in Vietnam....

3) Volunteer in Cambodia

Teach conversational English to Cambodian students in Phnom Penh. Students pay a small fee to our partner to attend the classes. In the past, the money raised by the language centre has been used to improve water and sanitation, for small livestock and agriculture production and for community environmental awareness in rural Cambodia.
