Getting Around Darwin
Inner-city Darwin is reasonably compact, flat and generally very hot. Remember to carry water and sunscreen if you’re travelling by foot.
The Darwinbus network covers Darwin and its surrounding areas, with major interchanges in Darwin, Casuarina and Palmerston. A $3 full-fare ticket allows three hours of travel, while $7 covers the full day.
Parking and traffic are less of a hassle in Darwin than other capital cities, and a hire car or driver will take the stress out of a day trip out of town.
