Economy cabins on all long haul flights contain luxury leather seats 18.5 inches in width, with a pitch of 32 inches. Long haul flights also include all meals and beverages as well as individual entertainment systems for all passengers. Short haul flights offer a seat pitch of around 31 inches and a width of at least 17 inches. Personal entertainment units are available for hire on short haul flights, while meals and drinks are either included or available for purchase depending on the type of fare purchased.
Premium Economy seats on long haul flights are 19.5 inches wide and have a pitch of 38 inches. Short haul seats are at least 18 inches wide with a pitch of up to 38 inches. All Premium Economy passengers enjoy their own personal entertainment units, and all meals and drinks are included. Premium Economy passengers may also access the lounges of Virgin Australia and its partner airlines.
Seating in Business Class is luxurious and spacious, with a generous 77 inch pitch on long haul seats, which convert into fully horizontal flat beds. Seats on short haul flights are also spacious but have a pitch of 38 inches and do not fully recline. Passengers have unlimited access to the Luke Mangan designed menu and premium Australian wines, as well as personal seat-back entertainment. Other benefits include priority check-in, lounge access and extra baggage allowance.

Virgin Australia allows passengers to check in for international flights at the allocated counters from 2.5 hours before departure. Check-in closes 30 minutes before departure. Business Class and Premium Economy passengers may check in at the Priority Check-in counter for faster service.
With Virgin Australia's rewards program, Velocity, members can collect and spend points on any Virgin Australia or partner airline flight. Points can also be earned on accommodation, car hire, online shopping, entertainment, banking, and financial services. Velocity offers four levels of membership – Red, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Silver, Gold and Platinum members receive additional privileges such as priority check-in and access to the Virgin Australia lounge.
Virgin Australia has lounges located in Melbourne and Brisbane international airports. Lounge facilities include complimentary food and beverages, showers, wireless internet access, business facilities, TV screens and dedicated check-in. Premium Economy and Business Class passengers as well as Platinum and Gold Velocity members may access these lounges. Day passes to the lounge can also be purchased.
